About the Artwork

Colors are associated with various emotions and can represent a variety of ideas, figures, or actions.

"Christ in Red II" is a second variation of the painting in which Christ is depicted using one of the primary colors, blue.

Red sometimes represents pain, senselessness, or death. However, in the context of faith, red can also mean sacrifice, passion, and love.

A closer examination reveals various shapes, silhouettes, and patterns related to the story of Christ.

The painting was also shown in a gallery and comes with a high-quality modernist frame.

The use of bright, contrasting colors with bold geometric shapes captures emotional intensity. Gold highlights in the crown emphasize its spiritual symbolism, evoking a mood of solemn reflection.

and is available for
commissioned work.

Jason Ray is a freelance graphic artist and painter. He has graduated with an advertising degree but making paintings, drawings, and sculptures is more of his passion. He also took a master's degree in fine arts that focuses on painting and sculpture. More into stylized and abstract art, his works are  inspired by his childhood experiences in the province and his favorite songs, stories, movies, or series. He mainly uses acrylics for painting, which he finds very flexible, durable, and comfortable to use since it has a faster drying time and uses less mineral spirits than oil. Before he starts painting, he does around five studies, and then he combines the best elements. He does multiple layers to ensure solid colors; he is meticulous when making lines.
