About the Artwork

By Jason Dy

I want to challenge myself to try painting the skin tone of an old man. I also want to try a loose painting style and let the coffee and water be the artwork’s emotions and message.

Warm and muted earthy tones create a sense of intimacy and focus, highlighting the subject's facial details and expressions. Aging lines and subtle shadows evoke a mood of wisdom, experience, and quiet reflection.
