A political science graduate from the University of the Philippines-Tacloban, Jerico is a self-taught artist from Tanauan, Leyte. He started drawing portraits using graphite pencils and then shifted to acrylic paintings.

He is a member of Tanauan Artists' Group, Inc., and participated in many art exhibits.
