About the Artwork
“Tres Marias” was inspired by three one-act plays, which retell the stories of three Philippine deities: Maria Cristina, the spirit of Maria Cristina Falls; Maria Cacao, the deity of Mount Lantoy; and Maria Makiling, the guardian of Mount Makiling.
