Alford Roy Dela Cruz

Alford Roy is a teacher by profession at Zamboanga del Sur National High School and a visual artist by heart. A National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) scholar, he graduated from La Salle University, Ozamiz City, where he studied teaching arts.

A self-taught artist from the City of Pagadian, Province of Zamboanga del Sur, he trains himself through constant and countless hours of drawing and painting. He continuously hones his skills through participating in different visual art competitions and other related seminars-workshops conducted by prestigious national agencies.

One of his most significant achievements would be his participation in the 4H Club Painting Competition Regional Level. He bagged the first place that earned him a ticket as the sole representative of Region IX in the National Level Painting Competition of 4H Club held in Vigan in 2019.

Competition aside, he is also a highly-decorated coach in his young career. He has successfully produced winners in the regional and national levels of the Sining Tanghalang Competition, PintaHusay category.

He is currently an active member of the Pagadian Artists with Harmonious Interest and Devotion (PAHID). He has been a special program in the art teacher in visual arts of Zamboanga del Sur National High School since 2017.
