How does art play a role in your daily life?
I can't see my life without art. I love making art as much as seeing them. I get inspiration from my experiences and emotions. I always paint, whether happy or sad, depending on my mood.To make myself feel better when I'm unwell, I create colorful artwork; I'm creating the happiness I long for based on the palette I use. Seeing the vibrant colors on my output uplifts my mood and reminds me to continue.

How did you address the challenges in your art journey?
Building a name and making connections is tricky; you need to know someone in the field to be recognized immediately, no matter how good you are. That's what challenges me to make art; it drives me to submit my portfolio to every gallery and showcase the works that deserve recognition. Because each artist has their unique style and will never be recreated by others, they have their timeline to be recognized, making every journey priceless.Another challenge I experienced was having an art block. I visit various art galleries and museums to gather motivation and inspiration for new ideas. I do that whenever it happens.

What's your creative process?
I let mysefl first feel anything and everything and stay grounded as I listen to music. Then, I pick up my notebook or iPad and create anything with my desired palette. As much as possible, I embrace imperfections and allow myselg to change some shapes and colors along the way. I don't use the grid technique; I just let my imagination flow freely. As i explore other styles, I always ensure I include my signature color - orange - because I want the color to stand out. Whenever I do abstracts, I experiment with vibrant colors that will stand out on plain walls.
Lately, the art style I've been creating is an embossed silhouette of a person, and I can't wait to share it with the public!

What advice can you give to aspiring Filipino visual artists?
Keep going on, as I found myself in solace through painting; I hope you find yourself in this world, too. Find peace while creating art, and show everyone who you are and what you can do with your artistic hands. As I want to spread happiness through my art, I also want to spread what my collector said: "Don't sell yourself short." He taught me to value myself and my creations, and he was one of the avid buyers of my artwork. Regardless of its price, he gladly purchased it.
Always remeber the value of yourself as an artist and your creations.
