Pasig City, Philippines — FilipinoArtPH, an online art gallery promoting Filipino artists, collaborates with Work of Love Café, a shop specializing in signature drinks and meals. They will showcase a collection of whimsical paintings titled “Enchanted Haven” until February 29, 2024.
“Enchanted Haven” features works by artist Bea Davila (Pasig City), Regino Jr. II Abiño (Bacoor City, Cavite), Leonora Braceros (Antipolo City, Rizal), Mark Nieva (Antipolo City, Rizal), Marrel Pajanil (City of Manila), and Crystal Gail Hicarte (City of Manila).
Work of Love Café started as a small cafe in 2020. On February 14, 2023, it expanded into a full-sized cafe with a bigger space for people to express and do what they want.
Love Viray, the cafe owner, takes immense joy in providing a platform for showcasing artworks and firmly believes each piece has a captivating story. To her, art goes beyond mere painting; it encapsulates the artist’s aspirations. Now, she sees this as a golden opportunity for these artworks to have the spotlight, finally gaining the visibility and appreciation they truly deserve.
Hicarte hopes her “Bottled Dreams” painting will convey beauty and inspiration that will bring out someone’s creativity. She hopes viewers will feel a sense of joy and peace upon seeing her artwork.
“I was inspired by the idea of a butterfly’s evolution, which can represent how we shape our dreams,” she added.
The artworks are displayed at Work of Love Café, the Tri-Ax Two Center, San Guillermo Avenue, Buting, Pasig City.
Admission is free, and all artworks will be available for purchase through FilipinoArtPH. – Toby Denise Concepcion
