Take a Peek at MASIDLAKON Art Display in Cebu City
FilipinoArtPH, in partnership with Bintana Coffee House, proudly launches “MASIDLAKON: Vibrant Patterns,” an art display that showcases the captivating spirit of Cebu City through the eyes of talented local artists. The exhibition is open for public viewing until November 7, 2024, at Bintana Coffee House in Camputhaw, Cebu City.

This vibrant display features 12 stunning artworks by Cebu-based artists Peter Bruce, Diane Ortiz, Ana Fe Ruiz, and Pia Joy Bohol-Salar. The pieces explore Cebu’s dynamic street scenes, rich nature, iconic tourist spots, and delectable food culture. By applying vivid colors and modern abstract patterns, the artists’ works offer a unique and personal connection to the city’s everyday life.

Yuri, FilipinoArtPH founder, expresses his excitement about the growing online art gallery and its additional features. “We started small, testing the waters of the art market. Now, we’re expanding as a platform to support artists, with many exciting plans ahead, including integrating AI into our processes.”

Sarah Javier, Bintana Coffee House owner, shares the inspiration behind the venue’s name and mission. “We named the store ‘Bintana’ because we wanted to be a window to many different things. Our goal is to create a space where people can gather. Art is just one of the many facets of Bintana, along with hosting gigs, community nights, flea markets, and more.

The event’s theme allows the artists to push beyond their usual boundaries, resulting in an impressive collection. Ruiz, one of the participating artists, shares her satisfaction with the experience, stating, “I was challenged, but it allowed me to express myself, and it’s finally out in public!”

Art and coffee enthusiasts are encouraged to visit Bintana Coffee House at 181K Elizabeth Pond, Camputhaw, Cebu City. The display will be available for viewing until November 7, 2024!

For those unable to visit in person, an e-catalog is available online. Access it here. Additionally, view the photos and video highlights from the vibrant opening!
