A self-taught artist, Ana Fe Ruiz‘s art journey is a testament to the therapeutic power of art. Her fight against cancer more than a decade ago wasn’t just a medical battle, it was emotionally and mentally challenging, too.
Due to this, her art has evolved into a powerful restoration process. She transformed her experiences into masterpieces that heal and inspire herself and the people around her.
Ana’s deep connection to nature is at the heart of it. Her works celebrate the natural world’s beauty and tranquility, with each brushstroke reflecting her admiration for the natural environment.
Contributing to her healing, she captures the essence of nature’s serene and restorative power, transforming her canvas into a space where viewers can experience the same sense of wonder and calm she finds in the natural world.
“Waves of Bliss,” 10″ x 10″ acrylic on canvas,
is now on display at Bintana Coffee House, Cebu City.
Her works are infused with cherished memories of the places she has visited, where she found peace and relief. By instilling moments of tranquility into her art, she invites others to join in the serenity that has been so central to her path to healing.
Today, she shares her love for art through the Cebu Culture Art and Design. As its operation manager, she organizes major events, such as the Visayas Art Fair and Bodega Design Caravan, expanding and enriching the art community she loves.
“As an artist, I want to have an art studio to help beginners unleash their creativity, offering them a space to discover and nurture their artistic potential,” Ana believes building a creative space will foster focus, experimentation, and artistic growth.
Recently, Ana is a participant in a special art display in Bintana Coffee House in Cebu City, titled “MASIDLAKON: Vibrant Patterns.” Check it out until November 7, 2024!
