On its fourth anniversary, the Visayas Art Fair (VAF) celebrates artistic diversity—proof of the flourishing creativity of Filipino artists across the country. In partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the Cebu Culture Art and Design Foundation holds this year’s fair at the Oakridge Business Park from today, November 21, to 24, 2024.
The four-day fair encompasses diverse activities under the theme, “Immerse in Artistic Diversity,” focusing the spotlight on the creative talent of Filipino artists. Different mediums will be displayed, from intricate pieces to installations, from the big screen to visitor’s engagement through workshops, interactive displays, talking sessions, and cultural entertainment, enhancing the immersive experience.
Since 2021, the VAF has been a bridge connecting artists, galleries, and art enthusiasts from all over the country’s regions. The VAF Chairwoman Lorenza “Laurie” Boquiren ensures that participants and the audience will remember the event as a remarkable experience every year.
Apart from the numerous artworks displayed by the art galleries, art collectives, and individual artists from Visayas and Mindanao, the art fair also highlights this year’s collaborators, such as Kidlat Tahimik, The Baylan of Mount Kalatungan, James Doran-Webb, Artistic Fusion Brings Together Fashion Designers and Creatives for Collaboration, and Pinta de Baryo.
For ticket rates, general admission costs are Php170.00; for senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and students, there is a discounted rate of Php150.00. For an exclusive three-day pass, the ticket costs Php480.00. Click to purchase tickets online.
