In 1991, the late President Corazon Aquino declared the “National Arts Month,” a month-long full of events honoring the nation’s cultural heritage. Every February, National Arts Month makes it a perfect time to explore various art exhibitions nationwide, highlighting the vital role of the arts.

Here are some must-visits exhibits this National Arts Month:

1. Banyuhay (Bagong Anyo ng Buhay)
Where: Gateway Gallery, Quezon City

This grand exhibition highlights the talent and creativity of local artists, featuring over 90 artworks by 46 visual artists from Quezon Province, Lucban, Tayabas, and Lucena.

2. Art Fair Philippines 2025

4. Romance on Canvas

5. Bikol Arts Festival

7. Pacita Abad: Philippine Painter
Where: Metropolitan Museum of Manila, Taguig City
When: November 28, 2024-March 30, 2025

This exhibition, curated by Clarissa Chikiamco, offers a deep dive into the first decade of Pacita Abad’s artistic journey, from her studies at the Corcoran School of Arts and Design in Washington, D.C., to her return to Manila. 8. Timeless J. Moreno
Where: Metropolitan Museum of Manila, Taguig City
When: February 27-June 29, 2025

This exhibition, presented in partnership with the Jusi & Piña Legacy Foundation and curated by Florina Capistrano-Baker, Ditas Samson, and Clarissa Esguerra, honors the centennial of renowned fashion designer Jose “Pitoy” Moreno. Visitors get a rare chance to see his iconic designs up close.
