The artwork is titled in the Waray dialect, "Kan Manay, Kan Manoy," with an English translation “Older Sister’s, Older Brother’s."
The painting was inspired by the famous landmark of rock formations in Barangay Anito, Gamay, Northern Samar, Philippines. These rock formations face the Pacific Ocean and have been named “Kan Manoy, Kan Manay” by the locals from time immemorial.
Through soft contrasts, earthy tones, and surreal distortions of natural elements, evokes a sense of curiosity and otherworldly tranquility, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.
