About the Artwork
Door series in soft pastels at 12"x16" Canson Miteintes paper. Artist-grade or archival materials were used. Glass framed (polystyrene) at 17.5" x 20.5" with 2" matting which weighs each at 1.75kg.
There's a certain charm and warmth in doors that I wanted to capture. Doorways symbolize many things like shelter, security, a transition, a passageway to new opportunities, or leaving something behind.

and is available for
commissioned work.
Menchie is a late bloomer and has started painting seriously in 2018. But she's been into a lot of art and crafts for more than 20 years. She took several art workshops and has joined group exhibits. Menchie doesn't want to limit herself to one medium; she has learned to use acrylic, watercolor, soft pastel, oil and loves to use the gold leaf. She also has explored mixed media, using her own crafts and adding them to her paintings.
