I don't believe in ghosts, but, oh boy, do I have a lot of them.

If we're not careful, our lives can be a parade of all the things that haunt us. I drew this as a reminder to live and learn to let go of things out of our control. 

Living with your "ghosts" is never easy, but as long as we dare to look them in the eye, shake our head, and smile, we will be okay.

"Girl with a Pearl Earring" was originally painted by Johannes Vermeer (1632-1675).

This artwork is drawn on special drawing acid-free paper (165 gsm). 

After I finished the colored pencil drawing, I sprayed it with a fixative for color and surface protection.

"Voyager" was inspired by the arrival of Ruy Lopez de Villalobos in Mindanao. The artist presents a 16th-century style drawing to match the event's historical accounts. The illustration was featured in "Anyare? History Card Game" by Kawangis Publishing Co.

I used a toned gray mixed media, acid-free paper, acrylic, graphite, and charcoal. The artwork is an output of dealing with anxiety.

The seahorse may be little, but it's fierce with or without color.

Infatuation as a pun

"Have you ever seen someone so beautiful it melts your eyes?" The idea for this piece was inspired by this inside joke I always make with my friends whenever I see my crush.

I eventually made a doodle while bored at work one day; this doodle saved me from an inevitable art block I seem to get whenever I'm in between drawings as it flourished into a complete piece.

We all have dreams and goals in life. We strive to achieve them, to build the life we want.

Sometimes, though, when we're getting there, some things happen. Unexpected things, and unwanted things come our way and shake things up to the point would mess the beautiful picture we painted for our life. I've been there a lot of times. Well, even now, as I write this, I can easily list several unwanted things/happenings in my life.

I truly believe these challenges naturally let you let go of things that aren't good for you or the things that are the least beneficial to you to give way to things that will help you.

So when challenges come our way, accept them, focus on seeing what good we can get out of them, and believe that we can and will come out a better person with a better life.

Painting has always been my therapy, and nothing soothes and calms my soul than mandalas. The freestyle process challenges me to push my creativity and opens up my senses, allowing more possibilities to flow and manifest.

This shows the first temptation of man. The fallen angel tries to look beautiful, but his corrupt nature still shows.

This owl is endemic to the Philippines.

The artwork, which forms a heart, has an engraved acrylic glass on top of a six-layer paper cut illustration (bristol board). The heart is rendered with watercolor, while the background has the natural bristol board color.

The loveless king became more formidable as he learned how to finally come into terms with his (her) being forlorn. The absence of love that most see as a lack in oneself is also a pang of hunger that drives one to pursue a state of unwavering fortitude.
