A rendition of a current event that resonates with me deeply.

The subject wears a teal ribbon to raise awareness and show support for survivors of sexual violence, with the hope they will eventually heal from their trauma and emerge like a pure and untainted lotus flower.

May this effort highlight that sexual violence affects individuals of all genders, ages, and ethnicities.

Embracing your authentic self

Wilting signifies that the plant is thirsty.

Wilting for short periods doesn't harm the plants. Give it a thorough watering, and it will perk up again.

If you feel like these flowers, thorough watering is all you need. 

The moment before the knife cuts

This is the product of several exercises on drawing and painting hands. 

Hands have always been an intimidating subject. After many failures, I finally mustered the confidence to paint it on canvas, using the material I'm least good at. This is a result of self-improvement. I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed learning and succeeding with this piece.

The artwork depicts how those seated in the higher hierarchy can forcefully blind and physically hurt those who resist. With blinded eyes, blooded scars and ears from hearing nothing but the truth, the only way to intimidate the resistance is to forcefully blind them from it, but this can't and will not ever prevent them from their voices. 

The man represents a red-tagged individual that has no choice but to consume the government's control over him.

In baroque style, this painting has been inspired by the pandemic.

In times of uncertainty, Filipinos are known for being driven, be it at work and our passion for pursuing our dreams. We are calm and independent, just like this fish.

As a follow-up to "Eyes Cream," "Eyes Cream II: Unrequited" is a pun-filled take on the crushing feeling of love not returned.

This painting is inspired by a woman named "Kira." She's a woman who is jolly, caring, and independent.

But behind this painting, the artist is a woman, and you cannot predict what she's thinking.

Para bang dinala mo ako sa isang lugar na hindi ko pa napupuntahan noon, isang lugar na napakalayo.  Isang lugar na napakaganda, isang lugar na tanging ikaw at ako lang ang nakakaalam kung saan.

Pagkatapos pinaniwala mo akong dito natin sabay na tutuparin ang mga pangarap natin, pero iniwan mo ako.  Iniwan mo ako ng mag-isa, iniwan mo ako ng walang paalam, iniwan mo akong hindi alam ang daan pabalik. At hanggang ngayon, naliligaw pa rin ako.  Naliligaw pa rin ako kakahanap sa'yo.

Most seasons of my life this year have included drastic changes and being forced to get out of my shell. I've been forcefully cracked open and discovered my many layers, my fears, passions, and the guilt I carry for who I could've been. Some nights, I felt like the world couldn't get any heavier to carry, but then the morning came, and I found new strength to continue.
